Hopefully I'll be able to head into alterations with a clear idea of what to do!

My younger sister (and MOH) went with me to see how the bustle worked. It was three buttons. Somehow all of the bridesmaids couldn't get it figured out so I walked around half of the wedding un-bustled until my photographer finally intervened and fixed it. I needed no other alterations for my dress whatsoever. So it was kind of a waste of $120.

Edited because this is a picture of my bridesmaids unsuccessful attempt at bustling. I don't have any pro pics back.

Ashley, your dress in general is just *swoon*. I actually had it pinned on my wedding board on Pinterest. I could just never find it in a salon. It's gorgeous.

Not fit and flare but there are 4 layers on here, not sure if this will help but this is how my seamstress is doing my bustle.

This is my bustle, 3-points and there are 4 layers in this gown. Not sure if it will help but this is what my seamstress is doing! It's an American bustle.

ETA: ignore the safety pins, this was so she would know where to put the bustle because she hadn't started it at this point yet.

This is a 3-point French bustle. I didn't like it as much as the American bustle.

I haven't gone down this road yet but I feel you. My train is beautiful. But I will need a bustle and I hate the way they all look.
