My fiance does a lot of work with his hands and he mentioned he wants to get a necklace or chain for the ring while hes at work. Any suggestions on something simple for him?

I would check with wherever you got the rings from. Otherwise I know at zales or Kays they had a lot of necklaces. I would see what would be the most durable would be and look into the warranties just in case it breaks.

I don't know what your FH does, but maybe the necklace will get caught on things if he works with machinery? Perhaps getting a silicone ring for those days he works with his hands so he doesn't hurt himself or damage the ring?

The silicon ring is a great idea if you're afraid a chain may get caught in equipment, etc.
I too would recommend visiting a local jeweler to get a good quality necklace that won't break. it would be terrible if it did and the ring was misplaced.
Is the store where you got the ring local?
