Natural Nails for Engagement Shoot?

I got to my shoot and realized I had forgotten to do them lol but as long as your hands are clean and no dirt under the fingernails I don’t think it matters. You can’t even tell in any of my pictures except for one or two that he took up close of my hand to show the ring. Otherwise no one would even notice my nails!

Thank you! I was thinking it wouldn't matter that much but then started thinking of the up close ring pics. It sounds like it will be fine! Obviously this hasn't been on my mind since I'm here 2 days ahead of time looking for suggestions

I was thinking the same thing, my shoot is on the 1st of May. I'm probably going to keep it simple and just do a white shilac or somethin. I don't think it's worth the money and hassle of long fake nails for just one photoshoot! (As much as I love acrylics lol) Just do whatever you're comfortable with!

I'm going to be on vacation in Hawaii for mine so I don't want to get them done and risk chipping. I'm just going to polish them a nude color the night before!

I did a french manicure but honestly as long as your nails looks clean cut it should look good!

I did my own white tips on my naturally short nails.

I would just trim them all to the same length, maybe buff them, and do some cuticle care so they all look nice and healthy.

This is exactly what I did and I personally loved the simplicity and natural look in photos.

I wore a more natural style walmart glue on pair! They don't last long, maybe a few days so good enough to put on, take photos and let fall off haha (Could fond JUST the top left photo so there are my DIY save the dates haha-wrong date)

I recommend going and getting a $25 simple manicure if you want them a certain way that you are unfamiliar with. Your nails are fine. You can do your usually cleaning and maintenance stuff for the pictures.

I go and get a Mani / pedi more for the massage and pampering than the look of my nails. Also, I have a toddler... I don't keep nail polish in the house out of fear of the art work said toddler may do on everything.... The Mani / pedi is more of a break and me time for me.

Simple is just the normal polish you put on.

Gel is a strudy chip resistant manicure if you want it to last a while (2-3 weeks)

Dip is similar to gel but it can last up to a month.

Nail art depends if you want something complicated or easy art but that can be fun too.

Have fun with it. Maybe you could bring a friend along too that likes getting their nails done. I am sure she knows a good place and you could have friend time.

You could always paint them a pretty color (red, pink, etc.)! Do you plan on doing anything for your wedding day? This may be a good time to go to a salon to try it out.

I had bought the stick on nails for our shoot but they totally fell off like 10 minutes before. In fact, I still had the glue on my fingers at the shoot. You really couldn’t tell at all.
