Naperville engagement shoot site ideas

Private User, on April 3, 2017 at 11:23 AM Posted in Planning 0 10

We are looking for a scenic place around Naperville to take some engagement pictures - we looked at Morton Arboretum but did not want to spend the money if there was somewhere beautiful and free. Any suggestions? Thanks!

I'd speak to your photographer, they will be really knowledgable about beautiful locations in your area. You might also look through their portfolio and see if any locations in there speak to you, and ask the photographer to recommend any of those or anything similar.

You're photographer should be able to help, but here are a few suggestions I give my couples.

    Naperville River Walk

    Cantigny

    Morton Arboretum

    Herrick Lake

    Lake Katherine

    Fabyan Park

    Downtown Geneva

    Grau Mill

Hope this helps! Smiley smile Good luck and have fun.

I've been thinking about doing the Morton Arboretum also (even though the permit is a bit pricey). I've found that a lot of the parks and preserves require permits anyways... just depends on what you want to pay I guess.

You're close enough I'd definitely consider actually going to the city. The area near Shedd on the water is absolutely beautiful.

@Mindy Leigh had some great suggestions. Just be aware Cantigny has a fee (per car). Fabyan has a fee for the Japanese garden, but is otherwise free.

ETA: Cantigny and Fabyan (Japanese garden portion) also both require permits.

I'd suggest the Riverwalk and the Millennium Carillon.
