Hi ladies - appreciate everyone’s help with wedding planning!! I’m planning to get my nails and brows done the day before the wedding. Hi ladies - appreciate everyone’s help with wedding planning!! I’m planning to get my nails and brows done the day before the wedding. I was going to go to one of the places I go to all the time like it’s a regular maní/pedí and not tell them it’s my wedding. I didn’t want to deal with an up charge and I’m worried if I tell them, the pressure will be on. Did anyone fair ok having their nails done the day before? Can’t imagine I can screw them up too much - not doing anything that evening or the next morning. Appreciate your insight! I don’t want acrylics - just French or little pink toes and fingers.

I did a neutral color on my nails the day before my wedding. I purchased the color beforehand and took it to the salon with me so I could touch up before my wedding if necessary.

I've never heard about the wedding upcharges either, and also I would do everything a few days before the wedding, not just one day before it. Just in case, you know, do that I would have some more time to fix it if necessary.

My nails are being done the day before the wedding too. When I called to schedule my appointment, I actually scheduled one 2 weeks before for a regular manicure and then my wedding nail appointment. My hands get so dry in the winter and my cuticles need a bit more TCL. My gal was glad to know it was for my wedding, she was even more accommodating with her schedule - even when so far as to rearrange another tech's schedule so that one of my bridesmaids could have her nails done at the same time I will be doing mine. If I wasn't a bride, she would have never done that. Smiley heart

The upcharges that come with weddings are so frustrating (dry cleaning is a nightmare from my understanding), so it is a pleasant surprise to not have that with my nail appointments.

I always wonder how brides on here ever resolve things after the original post so here it is: I did go for a gel mani/pedi the Friday afternoon before my Saturday evening wedding. Never had gel before but in the end I was so happy with the colors I chose and it looked perfect until today when I had it removed. Definitely recommend gel if you want your nails to stay.
