My dress is absolutely GORGEOUS but my alterations consultant has literally told me i was fat four times. My dress looks scrunched and weird on me.

You definitely do not look fat in your dress, nor are you the least bit fit. It looks fabulous on you!

If there is a scrunch as your say, and the seamstress says she can't fix it then that's on her and her lack of abilities as a seamstress. Just smile, nod, write a review stating how rude she was to you, and go to another seamstress.

You do not look fat what so ever!!

But Jasmine I know what you mean by the scrunching in the hips, my dress does it too! It bunches up right on top of my hips. I know the frustration it especially when alterations says they can't fix it. I told my alterations lady that it was unacceptable to not fix it because that's what she is there for. I then went into a huge rant to her about how much money I am paying and everything... She said she'd figure out options for me.

I honestly don't see the scrunch. I think you look beautiful in that dress. Her comments were completely inappropriate and I agree with the previous poster who said your seamstress messed up and is now blaming you. I would try to get your money back and go somewhere else where they can fix her mistakes and make you feel as beautiful as you should on your wedding day.

I feel the same way in my dress and I am very petite and small. Its just that there is a lot of material in wedding dresses and they are not going to fit like your most clingy piece of clothing. I think you look fabulous in your dress. Don't over stress it. Once your hair and make up is all done with it.. it will all come together just fine. Smiley smile

I don't see the scrunch.. But if there's a scrunch after the alterations then that is completely her fault and I believe with the other girls that she's trying to put it off on you by saying you've gained wait. Bc scrunches happen when a dress is not altered correctly.

Two things, YOU LOOK GORGEOUS! Not fat not one little bit. Like seriously. I think you look amazing in that dress.

Secondly, I don't get dress envy. Like ever. I have dress envy with you lol.

I am having the same issue with my alterations. The problem is NOT your body. It is how the dress was built. You have a short waist like me and the dress was made for someone with a longer torso. Even though my dress was supposedly made to fit me...it doesn't. I'll throw a pic in so you can see the scrunch I'm dealing with. My seamstress is awesome but there is an inch of fabric that bunches at my belly button. She gave me two options: the first is we can remove the fabric creating a seam across my midsection (hell no), the second is we can add tiny beaded straps that match the fabric of my dress to hold the bodice up enough to make that inch disappear. This is what we are doing, and although I dreamed of a strapless dress, I LOVE the straps. They are gorgeous and do not take away from the beauty of the dress. I'm sorry I don't have a pic of it with the straps yet. Good luck!

I think you look gorgeous. I also think that maybe a belt with some bling might cover the scrunch right up. Even though you shouldn't have to. I wanna meet your seamstress and punch her in the face.

Honestly you don't look "fat" in any of these photos, the dress looks good. If it's really bothering you, you can always get a different consultant to work on it, or (if you actually think you have a weight problem, which I DO NOT) try and exercise more between now and the wedding.

Girl, you are not fat AT ALL. I would kill to have your arms. Please ignore her. Do you have any additional fittings? If so, I would go elsewhere or work with someone else in the store.

First of all, your seamstress is a bitch. That's just plain rude. Second, I personally think the dress looks better with the belt, but that's just my personal opinion. You don't look fat and all and I don't see any scrunch. It's a beautiful dress!

She made it look worse. Wow. I'd go to another seamstress, and the belt does look really good. I recommend getting one, so that just in case the dress still gives you problems you have a backup plan.
