My Wedding Colors Are Purple and Silver. Is is weird to put bridesmaids in purple/Maid of Honor in Silver?

So the title says it all. My only full blood sister is my maid of honor. She is simple and likes the idea of swapping the colors but keeping the same dress. The availability isn't an issue. So the title says it all. My only full blood sister is my maid of honor. She is simple and likes the idea of swapping the colors but keeping the same dress. The availability isn't an issue. I've attached the dress I've been looking at (it can possibly change if the dress no longer is in stock when the time rolls around or it ends up being a bad dress). In my mind I guess I imagined purple being me and silver being him so putting my maid of honor in his color seems odd. I like the idea but I don't know if it'll be weird. Will it look weird or give off the wrong idea or is it a good way to differentiate the MOH?

Our colors started as shades of blue and coral; the girls all picked the same, navy blue dress. My sister is going to be wearing a different dress in coral (theirs are short, hers is long, but they have the same sweetheart/illusion neckline and she wanted to be sure to stand out. Yeah. -.- thank god it looks good together). The groomsmen will be wearing the navy blue accents, and my FH, his brother (best man) and my dad and his will all be wearing the coral accents. I'm going to have blue and coral in my flowers, so I won't really be choosing one color. Just wanted to throw my two cents in, I think the color swap looks awesome in pictures.

I'm doing the exact same thing with my sister, who is my MOH. She will be in a metallic silver dress and my bridesmaids will be in plum. They will all have the same dress, but my MOH will stand out with being a different color.

I think it will look fine. I'm doing the same color, but a different dress for my MOH.

My sister is going to be 8 months pregnant for my wedding, colors are mint and coral. She did not like any of the mint dresses, so she opted to go with coral. The guys are wearing coral accents and the flower girl will be in coral so- maybe accent your guys in the silver?

Honestly, I think it's weird. If you want to highlight your maid of honor. Why not just come up with another design for your maid of honor? Then, it should have the same colors with the other bridesmaids. For sure, Hong kong wedding planners will also advise this to you.

My colors are similar-shades of purple w/gray/silver and ivory accents. My MOH is wearing an African Violet dress from Dessy group while the 4 BMS are wearing wisteria (like lavender) from DB. I think it will look great! Yours will too! I like the idea of having the best man match her. Search pics online to get a full bridal party look with your color scheme.
