Having my parents live in the same apartment complex is SOOO not a good idea. My FH and I built a website for my stepdad for his new business and he is CONSTANTLY wanting us to add stuff and he wants it done immediately. Well he has over 60 pieces of merchandise on there and no sales yet from the website so I don't see how another 60 is going to help any! He is driving me crazy! Not only that but we were supposed to be paid $300 total for doing the website and he has only given us $150 and he wants us to keep adding more stuff. Since he and my mom share a phone, I haven't been answering the phone and when I don't do that he walked down to my apartment and bangs on the door. I didn't answer of course. OMG it is so annoying. When I feel like talking to you, I will call you. When someone doesn't answer the phone, it is NOT ok to walk to their apartment.

I was really only having my stepdad walk me down the aisle to reduce drama but I've decided to walk down the aisle alone like I've wanted from the beginning.

I think Sharon's idea is perfect-- Smiley smile

But it sounds like you need to sit down with him and set boundaries. Tell him that you are not available for him 24/7. If you stand up and speak what you are feeling, he will eventually get the picture. Explain you are on your own, you have things to do, and he needs to pay you in full for the work you have done. I would NOT add anything else to his site until he pays up. Also, in the future I would tell him you don't think it's a good idea to mix business w/ family matters. When you blur lines it tends to make things more difficult.

    Good luck to you!!

Yeah I called my mom and told her hat as soon as we get these new pictures up that FH and I are done. We have done for $300 what a company would charge $1000 so he needs to stop being an asshole.

@jlam, setting boundaries won't change anything. He has been an asshole his entire life and thinks he world revolves around him. For instance, with this new business, he wants to share the costs with my mom but he doesn't want to share the profits so she is about ready to wash her hands of him too.
