9:30 is a bit late for dinner. Are you having appetizers during the cocktail hour when you’re doing pictures?

Why is your processional 25 minutes long? That’s an extremely long time. Also, your entrance/first dance shouldn’t be 10 minutes worth of time, and dinner should immediately follow that instead of being broken up by dancing. The more times you make people get off the dance floor for things (dinner, bouquet toss, cake cutting) the less likely people are to go back out onto the dance floor.

9:30 pm is way to late to ask guests to wait for dinner. Dinner time is usually between 6 and 7

If you expect me to come at 5 and don't feed me until 9:30, I would be livid. We should leave by 7 due to just simple hunger.

You pu have to feed your guests at appropriate times.

Why do you want guests there at 5? Why not start the ceremony at 5 to move things up an hour? Also, others are right that you have too much time for events. You do not need almost 30 minutes for a processional. I attached a timeline we used on our day that really helped a lot.

The only way your professional sjuld take 25 minute space is if you have 40 bridesmaids and 40 groomsmen. It should be able to be done in 5 minutes. Also, if you are asking guests to sit at 5:50, you as the bride should enter no later than 6:00.

You can can also do parent dances during dinner so that people can eat earlier.

If she is feeding people at a pre-ceremony cocktail hour and a post ceremony cocktail hour then I don't see a problem with 9 o'clock dinner. 5pm food, 7 pm food, 9 pm food, I doubt any one is going to starve.

Ok I would say that sushi might not be the best thing to serve pre-ceremony, at least on its own. I would add solme non fish options unless you know everyone enjoys or is at least able to eat sushi.

I would hate being called into a wedding at 5:55 and then sitting for 20 minutes before anything happens. I would be SO antsy.

Also, what are your guests doing during photos? i hope another cocktail hour or else I would be a cranky guest waiting around and not being fed until 9:30pm. Everything seems to be taking substantially more time than necessary.

Im confused about what is happening between 6-6:05 and then until 6:15?
i think you’re over micromanaging time. Start your processional immediately after officiant welcomes guests. It shouldn’t take 35 minutes.

There’s no way I would dance before dinner is even served. I would be starving.
