Ya'll! I am so stressed out and I seriously have my work cut out for me! My mother has been VERY trying since the very beginning of planning. I asked my mom in April who she would like to invite and told her because of the number of guest we can only invite family and very close family friends. She gave me 5 people who were placed on the guest list. Well, in September she started asking about the guest list which was weird because it was pretty much set. She mentions that she wants to invite 4 coworkers! I told her no and then she says she is really close with one coworker and told me she really wants to invite her. I reminded her that our guest list is already at 130 and some family members did even make the cut. I told her that the friend can be on the List C and if we have room I can think about it.

Well, being the narcissit that she is. She really didn't care about that. One day about two weeks ago she was at my house and let slip that she had given her friend the Save The Date that I had given to her for herself and my dad! I was, needless to say, livid! This lady is probably thinking that she is invited to my wedding AND I HAVE NEVER MET HER IN MY LIFE! My mom hasn't been at that job not even a year. This is one of the ways that she is stressing me out and I am so disgusted!

BTW, we're paying for the wedding ourselves (me and my fiance)

Sorry for the rant. Have a great weekend!

Yikes! Going from 50 to over 100 is a lot. I hope everything works out for you!

This, exactly. Anyone who has an invitation not addressed to them, given to them, should realize a real invitation may not be coming. And never come. Of course, if you want your mom to tell this person, as would be the polite thing to do, tell her that Save represents 2 seats. She just gave away her seat and your father's. Coworker can come with her husband, but your parents won't be invited unless mom appologizes to her friend and gets the Save back. Keep her from inviting others, which she likely will do if she thinks pushing you into it will succeed.
