My indecisiveness is killing me...am I being too picky? (ETA: pics in comments)

I've always been indecisive but I feel like with wedding planning it's gotten to a whole new level. I just can't make a concrete decision bc I'm scared it's going to be the wrong one & I'm going to regret it later. Right now I'm struggling with reception venue. I've been to about 9 in my city but...

I've always been indecisive but I feel like with wedding planning it's gotten to a whole new level. I just can't make a concrete decision bc I'm scared it's going to be the wrong one & I'm going to regret it later.

Right now I'm struggling with reception venue. I've been to about 9 in my city but none of them have screamed that they were the one. All of them have some major flaw that is hard for me to look past (price, aesthetic, area, etc.). I really don't want to look into other cities because I don't want my guests driving very far from our ceremony site (which is set in stone. FH's childhood church - the one and only thing he has requested. And since I'm not overly religious and don't have a specific church in mind, I am happy to give this to him). So I don't want anyone driving over 15 miles max to get to the reception.

Am I being overly picky? When you saw your reception venue, did you know it was 'the one'? Or did you have some obstacles to work around?

    It honestly sounds like you're leaning more toward Option A, and I personally like the sound of that one better. I may be biased because the look of it reminds me a lot of my venue Smiley smile

    Re: being afraid to make the wrong decision. I 100% understand where you're coming from, and I went through that a lot when first looking for venues, and with every big decision I make. Nothing is going to be perfect. My venue didn't exactly sweep me off my feet and doesn't hold super sentimental meaning to me, but it checks all the boxes: my guests will be fed great food, have unlimited free alcohol, was within budget, all inclusive, and is very close to a hotel (all guests are OOT).

    ETA my venue is in a similar weird spot with no good places for pictures. My photographer recommended a park nearby and there is a cute downtown strip we can take photos near. Totally not a big deal if you have to travel just a few minutes away for pictures during cocktail hour. Just try to get as many photos as you can out of the way before the ceremony.

    Thanks guys!! Yes, I'm definitely leaning towards option A...I love the look of it! I will def reach out to my photographer and see a good place to do pics since there really isn't anywhere to do them around the venue.

    Question....would you (as a guest) find it annoying that there isn't an outdoor space to roam around during cocktail hour? One of the things I love about the hotel is that they have a patio that opens up from the ballroom where ppl can go outside. I'm planning for a June 2018 wedding so it will be summer and pretty warm where I'm at. But there isn't any place to go outside in Option A....just the parking lot :/
