My Hair cannot curl...

My hair Does. Not. Curl. It hasn't been able to hold a curl since I hit puberty. I have been to multiple hairdressers, had it done professionally multiple times, and it just doesnt stay for longer that an hour IF I stay inside and don't move, with an entire can of hairspray on my head. I had my HMU...
My hair Does. Not. Curl. It hasn't been able to hold a curl since I hit puberty. I have been to multiple hairdressers, had it done professionally multiple times, and it just doesnt stay for longer that an hour IF I stay inside and don't move, with an entire can of hairspray on my head. I had my HMU trial this week and it went well aside from that. We got it to somewhat stay, but I went to take some pictures outside in the Texas heat and wind and it of course fell out almost immediately. I'm worried it won't even last through the ceremony (which is outdoors) and that I'll have limp sad looking curls the rest of the night. What should I do??


PS: I'm a white woman, with naturally straight light brown hair. (For reference on possible products)
I do not want to do an up do, it looks awful on me. I don't want to do braids because I always have my hair tied back or braided and I want my hair to look different on my wedding day.

    I don't think they do it like they did back in the 80s. My friends hair looks more like beach/waterfall waves, they're not super tight curls like you maybe used to seeing or hearing about. I was shocked too when she told me it was a perm. It might be something to look into for sure.

    Oh really?? I always think of my moms amd aunts terrible 80snoerms when i think of a perm lol... I'll have to look into that, that might be perfect!

    Have you tried a down style? There is a stylist in PA who I follow on Instagram and she does the most incredible “down styles”! She is wb_upstyles on Instagram. She does them with elastics- not curled! The redhead below is what I am thinking for my wedding. She gives tutorials on her site for your stylist...

    SAME GIRL! I have straight, thin hair that REFUSES to curl. Have you thought about clip in extensions?? They are the only thing that works for me.

    Just a note of caution on extensions, my friend has basically your hair and when she used them for her wedding her natural hair fell in an hr and the extensions stayed curly- it was almost a worse option than if your whole head goes flat!

    Try old school sponge curlers. Put them in your hair when it’s wet/damp and sleep with them. You’re hair will 100% be curly (too curly even, don’t wrap them too tight!). Usually they look great after combed out.

    That's what I have haha, they don't work either. It just falls out the second I unroll it and gently run my hands through it. I've even hair sprayed them before taking them out and it never stays.

    Right there with ya girl!! My hair is long and thin and doesnt hold curls either... i am gonna look at getting extensions put in i want my hair to look full, and beautiful, not straight and how it is every other day either

    If you really wants curl I would do a perm. I have super straight hair and I get it permed. It’s definitely not like the 80’s perm.
