I've been on WW a bit before, but it's been a few months. As you ladies know, planning gets a girl pretty busy. Anyway, i just realized that we're only 11 weeks away from this upcoming saturday. I just shared the news with my groom only to find out that he "is looking forward to the day being over."...

I've been on WW a bit before, but it's been a few months. As you ladies know, planning gets a girl pretty busy. Anyway, i just realized that we're only 11 weeks away from this upcoming saturday. I just shared the news with my groom only to find out that he "is looking forward to the day being over." I'm not really sure how to react to this. I've been doing the majority of our planning. All of our vendors are done (except my hair/makeup), and some bridesmaid stuff. We are spending a bit more than we originally planned, but that's because his parents gave us money that we weren't expecting so we agreed to double the budget with what they gave us and go with it (we're look at about 20k since our original budget between just the two of us was 10k). We haven't planned our honeymoon yet, which i know he's looking forward to the most - but i haven't really had a ton of time to check into that with all the other planning. I'm slightly obsessive and i LIKE to do all the researching behind ...

Omg I could have wrote that post myself!

My fiancé and I have been together 10 years, have lived together about 6yrs of that + 3 kids. I got the exact same line from him. He actually told his family that we weren't sending out any invitations - wth?!?!

I'm the only one putting this wedding together because if it was up to him, we would have went to the courthouse and came home for dinner.

This is his second marriage and he's 42. For him, he feels silly to be going through all the pomp and circumstance. And truth be told - sometimes so do I. But I have never been married before and I want that experience. But he sees me getting stressed and putting in a lot of time into this and since I don't have many girlfriends sometimes it spills over to him.

Bottom line - don't take it to heart. Guys just aren't wired the way we are and all this sentimental stuff is just fuss to them. I'm sure you two will have an awesome day and he will be happy to have his wife all to himself once the planning is over.

Hubs dreaded our day cuz of the attention, the details, the need to act a certain way, and all the money that was pouring into it. Once he got to the church though, he was all smiles so let this go, he's stressed too Smiley smile

I wouldn't worry too much guys have a different mentality than us. My FH could care less about planning or any of that and he is a bit nervous because hes shy, so maybe that's what your FH feels. Once the day is here and he sees you walking down the aisle and you guys go to the reception and drink trust me he will change his mind.
