My fiance wants cinnabon minis as favors .....

FutureMrsStrahan, on June 18, 2013 at 8:48 PM Posted in Etiquette and Advice 0 20

Not a bad idea, but he forgets we have a budget. I wouldn't even know how to package them to stay fresh. Men I tell Ya

Do you ladies have any budget edible snack ideas, that could be used as favors? That I could also package ahead of time.

Ideas So far

Pecan pralines * top choice

Cookies

Brownies

Chocolate Truffles

We're doing home made cunning rolls as favors Smiley smile we're making them a few days ahead (using a cupcake pan to bake them so they're all tidy and the same size) and packaging them in cellophane bags and then into cupcake boxes.

They're not Cinnabon but FH mom is a great baker so they'll be delicious! If you could find a good recipe and you're up for that much DIY its possible!

I like your FH's taste (and I love your shoes! or your avatar shoes anyway... FH is a 49ers fan).

A bunch of people in our family have agreed to make different varieties of cookie- so we're going to be doing a huge cookie thing with take-away boxes. My mom also said she would make some chocolates for us.

Sorry LOL But I hate Cinnabon yuck too sweet.

We are doing white chocolate and milk chocolate covered oreo pops as favors. They will keep them in the fridge at the venue and serve them on each table placement during cocktail hr

Fortune cookies! I got 300 fortune cookies for $55, 100 organza bags from eBay for $13. My MIL and I stuffed all hundred bags (I wanted to do 3 to a bag, but only 2 fit well) in about 20 minutes. And they had personalized fortunes as well. This is where I got them from: http://www.goodfortunecookies.com/ - they sell in smaller amounts, too.

My fiance is a Cinnabon addict! Every time we drive by or go to the mall he has to get one. He says it against the rules to go to the mall and not get one. They have a special on Thursday where you can get a 12-pk for $5.00 .

I think the Cinnabons are a great idea if you can get a great price for them. You can get the recipe for your favorite cookie and put the ingredients in a mason jar??

Can you talk with the manager, I am sure that they can get you authentic containers for the minis or at least point you in the right direction.

Can you check with them and see if you can buy the dough in bulk and bake them yourself? There has to be a way to make this happen and if anyone can figure it out, it's the WW community. I think it's cute since they mean so much to your FH. If Dunkin Donuts was in California, I am sure they would be a part of my wedding!

@FutureMrsStrahan: I just got an email from a local DJ company here and it advertised that they do "branded food stations" and the picture it showed in the email was a Cinnabon kiosk! So I immediately thought of this thread. I'm not sure how budget friendly that option is but maybe you can see if anyone offers it in your area as a surprise to FH? Just a thought...

I'm committed to doing a candy bar since we're a Halloween wedding. I'm also planning on caramel and candy apples too. We'll see what happens though.

@ futuremrsstrahan Definitely a good idea for favors. I am always in support of edible favors. And if you both like Cinnamon its def a good idea. Most people like them.

@ Nafina LOL Ha ha ha. Yep...just checked...and I am definitely human. LOL

@ Nicole C LOl I know...maybe I am a weirdo. Just never got into cinnabons especially the ones in the mall too sweet and rich LOL. Yuck! But I love brownies chocolate.
