My fiancé isn't home yet. Worried sick, what do I do?

Julia Beth, on March 29, 2014 at 3:42 AM Posted in Wedding Attire 0 15

My FI was out of town an hour away for a business meeting today. They were later than expected leaving and then apparently had trouble getting a train home. Last I talk to him was 5 hours ago, and now his phone is going straight to voicemail. This is not like him, he's not out partying, I am straight up worried for his safety and I don't know what to do.

Omg. Am sorry to hear that.

Maybe there was a delay on the train and his cell phone battery is dead. He will arrive soon. Ill be praying for your FH to make it home sound and safe. Try to stay calm and call his job, friends & his family maybe they heard from him etc.

Here in California you wait 24hours to report a missing person am not sure about other states.

He's home, you hit the nail on the head. Train delay, phone went dead and then he realized he doesn't have my or anyone else's phone numbers memorized. I have never been more scared in my life. I was literally on the phone with a hospital when he walked in the door.

Whew - happy all is well. This reminds me that I need to memorize FH's number. I still haven't. We are so dependent on phones to keep all the info -- who learns numbers anymore? It is scary though.

Write numbers on a slip of paper and put it in your wallet. Hospitals will call you also

Thank all of you for your kind words! I was SO SCARED, but we learned an important lesson about knowing each other's phone numbers.

I'm glad everything is ok! I hate that feeling of not knowing if they're alright and not being able to contact them. (Especially in this world of super-connectedness!)

I've joked with my husband about what I'd do if I ever end up in jail since I don't have his number memorized and they don't let you use your phone for anything for your call. It happened to a friend of ours, and we all realized how screwed we be if we arrested for any reason!

I'm extremly glad everything is okay... that's scary when you don't know. but exactly why I made myself memorize FHs number lol. I figured if I'm marrying the man I should probably know how to get ahold of him ... I use his phone number at petsmart for their rewards card and that's how I started to memorize it loll

My guy has done this one too many times..... there's been like 8 times when he just wouldn't pick up the damn phone.... but I've started learning to just get annoyed instead of worried HA!

I'm so glad I'm not the only one who panicks like this. Seriously... if my DH doesn't answer the phone, I will start sweating, worrying, almost crying. After a traumatic experience in my past, if I can't get in touch with him, I can't handle it.
