My fiancé doesn’t like my wedding colors

Mary, on June 3, 2019 at 1:47 AM Posted in Wedding Attire 0 30
I love that my fiancé is very hands on when it comes to the wedding, he’s such a great help! How many of you have a fiancé who isn’t quire on board with specific details? We are having a beach wedding at sunset so ideally we want the colors to match a beach vibe and sunset colors. My fiancé would like green to be one of our colors which I’m not opposed to however we are having trouble agreeing on which green, trying my best to compromise and find something we both like but I don’t want my bridesmaids to be short of time when purchasing their dresses

I like the second picture. The first feels too dark for a beach wedding.

I agree! That’s the issue we keep discussing is whether a green (that he likes) will work on the beach

I found these pictures. It's not the same green, but it is a darker green. It's not terrible.

I hear ya, girl. My FH and I make all decisions together. That's how our whole relationship has worked, but it may be easier if he let me run with a few of the details 🙃. I love subtle dusty blue and he's more of a bright ocean blue. I'm sure you've been pinning like crazy but keep at it! I pin what I like and then we go over everything. He rates it from 1-10. If it's 1-7 we delete it and if it's 8-10, we save it to our 8+ idea board. We then narrow it from there. Also, I've heard great things about Azazie , so we're going to order swatches from there and maybe David's to get a better idea of what the colors look like IRL

The second picture is beautiful for a beach wedding. I’d stick to soft pastel like colors if you are having it on the beach. Maybe more sea foam green than forest/emerald. Good luck!

Yes I know what you mean lol I’ve looked at swatches and because I want to mismatch I want to make sure I’ve seen it and it works, so it’s hard to substitute colors if I haven’t seen it already done. Love your strategy, I will keep pinning! Thank you☺️

It is a destination wedding so they are having to pay for a plane ticket along with an Airbnb do you think I can stick to that same timeline of 3 to 4 months? Thank you!

For the green there's a silver sage or seafoam green? I decided the main details with FH but we were pretty on board for the same vision

Thank you! I am trying my best to compromise with a darker shade but haven’t seen anything that’s not Christmasy or just not the right green 🤷🏾‍♀️ I need to look at sea foam green again and go from there. I love red and gave up putting that In our palette because I feel like it wouldn’t compliment the beach and sunset background. The 2nd pic is my fave for sure! Thank you

The first pic is pretty too if he wants darker colors then it's just more of a boho vintage feel for the beach! You could also do tropical or a mix of blush, ivory, light peach, etc.

Thank you! I guess I didn’t look at it like that, with the first pic but you’re right. I could get behind those blush tones, and the gold ones!

I would ask them budgets for everything. Hopper is good to find cheap flights on.

I agree the second is nicer for a beach wedding. But what if you accent with green rather than them being in green?

Ok, Accent meaning hair pieces, earrings, and bouquets?
