A few things:
-I was worried about my dress taking the full 6months (March) so I called in January for an update & they told me beginning of February. I waited patiently and finally called last week to get an update and they said my dress was already there. GEEZ thanks for letting me know!
-Now Im 30 days away and was slightly worried about alterations turnaround time & the place was full of ppl looking for prom dresses. I will be able to pick up my dress in 2 weeks
-The day after I originally placed the order for the dress back in September I frantically called to change the size and go UP a size. Thank God i did!! By losing weight I gained muscle in the butt and thighs so my hips/butt/thigh area fits EXACT. There’s absolutely no wiggle room. Imagine if I hadnt sized up!!! The only alterations was to add cups in the dress, to take in a little in the chest, and to add bustles.
-The seamstress & I hit it off and she lives in the next town over from me (10min away) and the bridal shop is kinda far for both of us. She gave me her number and told me if i need any further alterations after I pick up my dress I can just come to her house & my bridesmaids can come to her too & she wont charge bridal shop alterations prices.
It was a good day. I brought all my accessories: my Indian veil, my necklace and jewelry and everything looked great! Its way more sparkly and vibrant in person. Also even the color of the dress was way better than the sample (ivory/nude).
