And I know I should...had my last fitting last night but I didn't really realize just how stuffed I looked until I left and looked at pictures...got my alterations done at David's and everything they did looked fine but I was hoping the panel being let out would help with my giant boob situation...I didn't say anything there because like I said I was hoping it didn't look as bad as I was thinking it did. I don't have a lot of faith that David's can do much...I am not sure if anything can be done! Anyone have any ideas what I can do?

Here are my current ideas:

- Deal with whatever it looks like day of

- Try and lose weight (but honestly I don't really lose weight in my chest)

- Go to David's and demand they help me

- See another non-David's alterations place ASAP

- Cry

- Buy new dress (would rather not do this)

I know I am my own worst critic...any suggestions from this lovely community would be welcome, thank you all in advance....

Thank you all for the nice comments and wonderful help!

I have considered cutting out the cups to see if that would add room....

I worry about adding a corset bra because wouldn't that just take up more room? Same thing with a strapless bra...

I would take it back to davids and try it on with one of their corset bras. I agree with what some of the others girls have said that the corseted bra really helps to smooth everything from your bust down!

That being said, the dress is beautiful and you look beautiful in it as is! The different shapewear may just help you feel better!

I absolutely LOVE that dress and almost bought that one myself! It is a gorgeous dress!! It looks gorgeous on you, but I am with the others that it looks like they cinched it to tight or you may try another type of shapewear underneath. When I was thinking about getting this dress I was going to add sleeves because I too have a well endowed bust area and wanted the dress to stay up and fit better. Maybe if you added sleeves it would help and that way the corset wouldn't have to be pulled so tight - becuz although it looks gorgeous on you, you do look uncomfortable. Don't give up and get another opinion from another seamstress other than David's Bridal. You are beautiful!!!! Don't ever doubt that!!!!! and it will all work out Smiley smile

I dont see what's wrong with it myself, but if you don't like they way you look in it then you have options. Like spanks. but they can be pricey, and they don't fit me terribly well since i am a VERY large framed woman.

I'm going a non romantic but comfortable route and I'm wearing those underwear that they make for men that come down far on the leg, like shorts. they smooth my stomach out a bit and it's much more comfortable than spanx. cost a lot less too!

they make them in white, so it works for me! Smiley smile

I personally wouldn't take it to a seamstress, that would probably end up costing you a lot & results may not be good.

btw- I used to be a G cup and no matter what I would have cleavage up to my chin! I know the feeling of feeling stuffed & I don't think you look that way at all.

would it help any if you 'jacked it up' a bit?maybe try it on with jewelry and a veil, hold some flowers in front of you. send the pic to a guy friend& ask how he thinks your cleavage looks. Smiley winking

I feel like you could use a good corset. Something really cinching. There isn't anything wrong with you or the dress, its the underwear.

Update: I called David's and they said I can come in tonight, so we'll see what they say, everyone cross your fingers for some type of solution. If they are worthless, off to someone else I go. I just have to know if nothing can be done, if so, I will stop worrying about it. Thank you all so much for your help! I'll be sure to update either tonight or tomorrow.

Good luck !!! Will be waiting on an update as to what davids said they can do.

You look beautiful & happy in it The dress is amazing.

I see what your saying about the top. it looks too tight & uncomfortable. I think it really is just an underwear issue though. I have big boobs and had a reduction 2 years ago. Even after my reduction I was still a 42dd.

Good luck! You look beautiful in your dress!

If you do the shapewear, ask for something that doesn't have pushup or bustier cups. Those are usually thicker, so it won't help with the space, and imo they're horribly uncomfortable.

Ah, major bummer! I know what you mean about that feeling. I hope that either DB, an alternate seamstress or you can find a solution that works.

FYI - I bought a bustier thing from Macy's. It's super thin fabric so probably wouldn't take up much room, but gives good support because of the boning in the bodice of it.

Sounds like the panel still needs fixing maybe though. I hope it all works out!

    Update!

Took it back to David's and told them my concerns, she was a little like "We already moved the panel" and I was like "But it's still too tight!" and I had red marks on my back so finally we decided to let out the sides just a couple inches under each arm....so let's hope this is all I need. The good thing is if it is more than I need, I have plenty of room with my corset back to bring it in.

I am considering adding a more supportive bra now that I will have more room to work with, but we shall see, not 100% on that.

I really hope this works, I get it the Monday before the wedding. But she said something like "That still gives us a few days to work with it if needed"

    Crossing my fingers....haha!

I think you are gorgeous in it and your smile shows how much you love it.

My suggestion would be to have someone who knows how to work a corset do it better to fit how you want it. Just make it looser at the top and tighter at the bottm. This will allow the tight around the middle, but not push up/emphasize your chest and will let your chest fall more into the dress and make you feel more at ease Smiley smile

Try some different shapewear. sometimes that can make all the difference. you look beautiful in the dress though. the only area that you look "stuffed" is in the chest slightly. just loosen the top of the corset so that the dress doesn't press so tightly on your skin giving the look of being "stuffed".

Thank you ladies, the problem was the corset is out as much as it can be at the top because the panel has to snap shut, so we're letting out the sides, hooray!

As you can see from my pic, I relate to the big boob problem.

    1) I wore a wonderful strapless bra that I got at a specialty shop.

    2) If all else fails, I think a little tulle or lace at the top of the cups, to give you a half-inch more coverage all around the top, would be lovely, and subtle, and protect against any spillage.

I hope your alterations went well. It's clear that dress is too tight under the arms; I don't think the boobs are the problem, I think you're getting push-up from under your arms.

INSIST your dress is comfortable. You want to eat, dance, visit every table, chat up every dear friend, hug people. If it's too tight, all of that will be uncomfortable.
