My dad is sick and cant come to my wedding

My wedding is 12 days away and is an out of state wedding. My dad suddenly became sick and has been going through a series of sugerys. He is doing better now but he will be in the hospital for at least 2 weeks meaning he can not attend the wedding. My mom has not left his side and will not be able to attend the wedding either. As crushed as i am about not having my daddy walk me down the isle, his health is more important. I would like to do something in honor of them at the wedding. I was thinking about the charms with the picture on the bouquet. Any ideas are welcoming!

Awwwwwwwww, I am so sorry to hear this, Danielle! But, maybe your DJ could skype the ceremony and reception for him? Our DJ is doing that for my cousin who has muscular dystrophy and can't travel too.

Aww Hope he gets better? I like the charm ideas.. what about adding in a little toast for them or pictures for guest to see and an explination??

Not a way to honor him but you could webcam the wedding ceremony for him in the hospital to at least see what happens. If it's the right program you could even see his face and your moms face on your screen

I know someone who was in a similar situation. They used a New England company ( Coastal Webcast) as their videographer. This company specializes in live streaming weddings, so if someone special can't make it to your big day its like they are there watching it live. The guy even went over to the bride and groom so they could talk into the camera to send his mom a special message. Its like combining your Skype idea with a professional videographer that you can actually keep the footage.
