So, I really wanted acrylic invitations for our art deco-inspired wedding. I found a design that I really loved (well, that my FH loved, and I had to let him have a say in something lol). They were $8 per invitation suite and that was more than we were willing to spend. But my heart was set. So I started researching sellers on alibaba.com. I was really nervous because I'd never purchased anything from Alibaba before and didn't wanna get scammed. I had to go through a few sellers before finding one whose English was good enough where we could communicate easily without things getting lost in translation.
But I found a 'trusted seller' who could make the same exact design for a third of the price -- $2 each. I showed her the design and told her what font I wanted her to use. It took about a week from the time I placed the order until shipment. My grand total was $195 for 60 invites, pearlized envelopes, and INCLUDING shipping. They got here in four days, and they're perfect! Beautiful, high-quality, and each invitation is covered in a plastic film to avoid scratches; you just have to peel it off before mailing. I bought gold glitter envelopes from Amazon for the inner envelope and I mailed them all out the other day for $1 a piece. 😁
