Hey ladies...

My next wedding related task.....picking songs for each element of the wedding! uugh

I'm clueless about what to choose to walk down and up the aisle, intro song, cake cutting, mother, father, last and first dance (fiance suggested Aerosmiths Don't Want to Miss a Thing) which I'm down with but struggling to pick anything else!? Uugh

I love 60's and 70's music and fiance listens more to 80's rock which also like. I'm hoping to get the creative juices flowing by reading your song choices for each element of your big days! I'm going to ask for music suggestions on invites to be sure we play music guests wanna hear.

If you can list like this all the better:

Profesional song

Recessional song

Cocktail hour music

Intro song

First dance song

Father/daughter song

Mother / son song

Cake cutting song

Last dance song

All music preferences are welcome....bonus points if classic rock / hairband lovers!!????

Rock on....lol

Unity- When I Say I Do -Matthew west

I still have a ton more music research to do on what we want and what our guests will enjoy during the reception. Pinterest has been a huge help!

I have a document that I can send you with lot's of songs to choose from. I often use it when I'm helping couples choose songs. It is a 2015 version because the 2016 version hasn't been released yet. I would also check out Vitamin String Quartet for your ceremony. I often provide sound systems for ceremonies and play VST. They have some great classic rock material that sounds lovley for ceremonies.

Processional - Jesu, Joy of Man's Desiring for everyone else, Canon in D for me.

    Recessional song - Trumpet Voluntary

Cocktail hour music - This was a jazz trio by our band, I'm not actually sure what they played, just light music

Intro song - Bridal party was introduced to Can't Stop the Feeling (Justin Timberlake) and H and I were introduced to September, Earth, Wind and Fire

First dance song - Thinking out Loud - Cliche, I know. Oh well, I loved it.

Father/daughter song - My father is deceased, but I danced to "When you need me" by Bruce Springsteen with my 3 brothers.

Mother / son song - They did Days Like This, Van Morrison

Cake cutting song - We didn't have one, we just cut it off to the side, no big to-do.

Last dance song - We didn't plan one out, but our band played Love Train, which was so fun

@Elphaba- I love that you have "Dream a little dream of me" on your list. I'm planning to walk down the aisle to an instrumental version. My dad used to sing that song to me while playing the guitar.
