Do the two of you share a favorite movie or TV show or something that you can pull from?

My dad and I ended up dancing to something from Dirty Dancing, because that was our favorite shared movie when I was a kid. The DJ edited it so that it was appropriate.

Another place to look would be on Spotify. There are a ton of wedding playlists on there, and they might have some good ideas.

Even though it’s your cousin, could it still be a moment of honoring your dad? And a song that reminds you of him?
Or if it’s just more about you and your cousin, I’d go with something that connects the two of you. My dad and I are going to dance to Drive by Alan Jackson, because I still remember riding with him in his truck and listening to this song and him reminisce about learning to drive.

View Quoted Comment I was thinking somewhere over the rainbow to honor my late aunt which was also his mom. We lost her quite suddenly in 2016. But I'm not sure that is an appropriate song? I'm just so over finalizing little details like this. Its giving me a headache lol

I promise it’s going to all work out, no need to overthink the song choice. I think Over the Rainbow is a good one to honor lost loved one. My FH & I are actually dancing to a Christian song about God’s love rather than a romantic song because we both know that us finding each other is a gift from God.
