Music Help!

scmartin2017, on August 8, 2019 at 7:58 PM Posted in Wedding Reception 0 5
I really need some help! My fiance and I are planning on doing a 70s!80s themed wedding! It's gonna be a blast! My issue is....I was born in the 90s but I LOVE 80s music. Can someone please help with music! Eternal Flame is our first dance song. I'm also doing Grandpa Tell Me Bout Them Good Ole Days with my grandfather/granddaughter dance. My father and I have had a ton of issues but my grandmother wants him there and wants me to do something special for him..I have no idea what song I should do.. can anyone help?

I would suggest you google 70’s top hits and same for the 80’s and start making a list. That’s what we did. It takes some time but it’s totally worth it. Music was super important for our wedding so people would stay on the dance floor and it paid off. Also, if you have a DJ ask if they have a song list you can use as a reference. Our DJ gave us a good one to start with that already has lots of great dance music. Good luck.

For a 70s selection, you could do Isn't She Lovely by Stevie Wonder. I'll keep thinking for the 80s.

Time After Time by Cyndi Lauper? Don't You (Forget About Me) by Simple Minds?
