Has anyone ever thought of moving up their wedding for the purpose of a family member you drastically want there like say the father of the bride or is that something you wouldn't even approach that idea.

What I did to make sure I didn't fall behind was getting a calendar and on the month at a glance I wrote in what I wanted accomplished by what date for the wedding (in pink and the send out invites was in blue; where the arrow is). That way I had a deadline for myself for everything so I wouldn't get behind. For example, here is an overview of my November. I gave myself December off because just about everything is done and I just have to tie up loose ends in January and February.

My grandfather died a few days before we got engaged. Our original plan was to fly to Arizona to elope with him present a few days before our wedding, then have our ceremony & reception in Colorado with all our friends/family (we would tell them obviously). We would have done anything we could to make sure he was there.

Not at all. We had to find a new location but we worked with it. We wanted a weekday wedding to begin with so that probably helped. In all honesty, moving it up helped. Less time to go back and forth with ideas. The only thing that sucks is finding all the money.
