I'm open to hearing your opinions. I understand that my fiance and I ultimately have to decide on our location, but please share your thoughts. Should we get married on his family's gorgeous mountain land in Colorado then drive half an hour to the reception estate - luxury log cabin? Or get married on the sandy beaches in South Carolina with a reception walking distance from the ceremony? We live in Wyoming (at the border of Colorado), his family and our friends live in Colorado/Wyoming and my family is in South Carolina, 50 people invited, no date yet but spring or summer probably.

Beach wedding!! Looks like I’m in the minority, but maybe it’s the SoCal in me 😉 (and I’m not a mountain/woodsy type of person). To me, it’s a hassle having to drive to 2 locations. So if you can avoid it, that’s great. Also, you don’t have to set up far into the sand and make guests walk a long distance. Guests know it’s a beach wedding and will dress accordingly. Plus flip-flops are an inexpensive and easy item to supply for guests.

No. Depending on the location one side will always be left with a lot more financial and travel discrepancies. It is evenly divided on CO people and SC people. There are also elderly family members on both sides. Thanks for your help!
