Mother of Dresses

I let my mother in law pick whatever she wanted. The only thing was charcoal was off limits because that was what my bridesmaids were wearing and navy was off limits because my mom is wearing that

I gave my MIL a color scheme and formality level and then went shopping with her. Truthfully I wouldn’t have chosen what she chose but the day of it looked amazing and she was so happy!

I didn't give any guidelines, but I did go shopping with my FMIL once after she went a few times herself. We picked a pretty dress that she really liked. I more so went as a 2nd opinion than bride picking the dress though.

I think there's also a lot of time before she needs to even think about it. My wedding is next week, and my FMIL got her dress in April and my mom got hers in May, both of this year.

We had our immediate family and Grandparents wear navy as an extension of our small wedding party. Both my mom in law and my mom had texts and I helped them in terms of formally and vibe.. they looked beautiful in their dresses on our day
