My mom fav color is blue but my colors are royalty colors Purple & Gold but she is my mom so I let her stand out so I let her get the blue dress & ofcourse it has gold in it or she wouldn't have got it maybe lol.. IDK if that helps

I know I'm old school but typically the mothers coordinate with the bridal party. It's not all about the pictures. They don't have to match but should wear a complimentary color. I think any jewel tone color will go nicely with burgundy. My colors are plum and gray with my girls wearing plum dresses. My mom got a silver dress.
