Any color she wants (except white Smiley winking )! I just asked that my mom not wear the same color as the bridesmaids if she can help it because I want her to stand out as mother of the bride. Our colors are navy, wine, blush, and rose gold (bridesmaids will be in wine) and my mom chose a dark teal dress.

Whatever color she wants. She doesn’t need to coordinate with your bridesmaids.

I told my mom she could wear champagne I know a lot of bridal dresses do have this color in them but I know everyone will know who the bride is even if we do look like sisters hah.

I would let her wear whatever it is she wants. She doesn't need to match the bridesmaids as mother of the bride and groom aren't typically in a lot of photos with the bridal party.

My girls were in burgundy and the mothers in blush. I had dark red and blush roses as part of my bouquet so it coordinated well. But my mom was the one who chose the color, but she chose based on my color palate.

My bridesmaids are wearing burgundy, groom/gm wearing all black. Tablecloths are charcoal. I think I'm going to ask our parents to wear charcoal, silver, gold, or black.

Whatever she wants! My mom chose to wear our secondary color (plum) and my MIL opted for navy.

Whatever color she wants to wear. Anyone not in the bridal party can choose their own outfit or color choice. The only color that is typically a no-no is white.

I think gold and pink would be a solid idea. She is asking me for what to wear Smiley smile

Yeah... I saw that some bridesmaids match with moms and I feel like that is kind of weird since moms should be able to stand out on their own.

I didn't even know this was a thing until I saw someone post on here complaining about it and I am 40 years old. I personally don't care as I am pretty sure no one wouldn't be able to tell that I was the bride. I went back to look at my wedding photos to see if anyone wore white and I had like 5 or 6 people wear white and I never noticed.

Really if she isn't standing she can wear whatever color she wants. If she wants to fit in with your bridesmaids I don't see the harm in her also wearing burgundy. If you are wearing a traditional white dress then maybe she can do like a champagne colored dress? I see that you're getting married in December, maybe have her in a nice wintery color, like grey or navy blue.

I didn't think of grey, I will look into that with her.

I was worried since burgundy is dark that dark colors would just blend in.
