MOTB & MOTG Gifts

Along10, on April 5, 2016 at 10:01 AM Posted in Etiquette and Advice 0 6

I know this question has been asked a million times, but I would like to do something VERY special for my mom and FMIL. They are paying for our wedding and everything that they have done and are doing for us means the world to me. I'm looking for ideas for something that's not just a necklace and a note, but something extra extra special. Any advice?? Smiley smile

Round jewelry box and Tiffany necklace that says mom. For FMIL the box says "thank you for raising the man of my dreams"

I have been feeling the same way and I would love to honor my mom for everything she is doing for us for the wedding. We have talked about getting her some things before the wedding, but really spoiling them after the wedding both my mom and dad. A weekend getaway trip is what I am leaning towards.

These are all so sweet! My mom would love the Tiffany necklace and a weekend getaway is a great idea. I love the sayings on your jewelry @Bailey J. Thank you for your suggestions!!

FMIL is getting a bracelet with her mom (who passed)'s handwriting (like the photo). We will put it in a jewelry box probably. My mom- I ordered a memory book from DB, but haven't been able to see the inside, so we will see. But it's like those grandparent books, where you write in memories, etc. I am also going to give her my throw bouquet when we thank our parents at the reception. And a pillow or frame that says "home is where mom is".

I would love a note and to share some experience with fdil after the wedding. Anything from a cooking class (I'm a horrible cook, hubby does all the cooking) to a coffee break to a movie. We've used the wedding planning as our "just us" time without the kids and hubbys. When that's done, we'll have to carve out time from busy schedules to share girl time. It's been fun, I would miss it.
