Most stressful??

Nola, on October 10, 2019 at 1:55 PM Posted in Planning 0 36
I’m curious, what is the most stressful part of wedding planning for you guys? Mine would have to be picking a hair style to wear and makeup! I decided I’m doing my own makeup but picking a hairstyle is so hard for me lol. Everything else is super smooth since our venue is all inclusive.

I'm definitely with you on the hairstyle stress. I see so many beautiful hairstyles, but I've had curls maybe three times in my life and every other day has been straight and down Smiley xd

Other than that, I think my dress is the thing I'm stressing over most. But I'm hoping that'll blow over soon!

My venue coordinator. She has been stressing me out to the max lately. I am literally try to give her money and she doesn't seem to want it! I told my FH today that I don't want her coordinating the wedding anymore and I am contacting the head person at the hotel because I'm done with this run around. The coordinator keeps saying I need to pick something up I have stopped there 3 times after work to get this "something" and its never at the front desk and she is never there. I work till 4:30 every weekday so I understand why she may not be there but this is getting old.

I'm stressing the most over the guest list. My FH, bless his heart, would invite everyone he's ever encountered in his life, if we could afford that. So, really the stress is more his than mine, as I tell him we can't go over 100 guests, but he keeps thinking of people he wants there. What it comes down to is that he hasn't seen these friends for many years, but in the last year, he's made an effort to reconnect with a lot of his old school friends. That has been pretty successful, but it's wreaking havoc with our guest list, as now he wants to invite so many more people. Ugh. Oh well, we'll figure it out. I don't have a lot of family left, and only a few friends, so my part of the list has room. But not without some stress!!!

Mine was planning logistics. For instance I hate the idea of a large gap in between ceremony and reception but at the same time that's sufficient for setting up ceremony aha. So eventually I hired a doc to solve my problems but there were other issues logistically I worried about such as us setting up our own cocktail hour and what not.

Currently, it's figuring out the timeline of events. I can't decide if I want to do a first look, I'm leaning towards it, mostly because I'm worried there won't be enough sunlight for pictures after the ceremony. I'm also a little worried that cocktail hour will be a little too long... I'm anticipating the ceremony to take roughly 20-30 minutes long, so cocktail would start at 4:30. I'm thinking that dinner won't be served until 6pm though...I'll have to figure it out. Good luck figuring out your hair and makeup!! I chose to do my own makeup and I've been having fun trying out different looks!

Girl, yes! The hair is hands down my hardest decision out of everything lol I love how I look with my hair down but I'm afraid when we get to dancing I'm gonna wish it was up. We are also doing a beach wedding so I'm not sure how it would look down with the humidity and wind blowing it everywhere. Being up just doesn't seem right though 😩 why's it gotta be so hard to decide?!

No I don’t have a DOC, I’m planning everything myself but the venue we chose does a lot of the work so it’s not so stressful lol I’m grateful for that !

Unfortunately no, we can't afford one Smiley sad I'm mostly worried that I'm giving myself and my bridesmaids enough time to get ready in the morning lol I don't want to be too late to my wedding!! Especially if I have to worry about a first look, then I'll have to get ready even earlier.

I'm not too worried that I don't have one though. I have a friend who said she is willing to help out with finding people when it comes time for photographs with family members and such. It's also helpful that most of our vendors are providing multiple services, i.e. our caterer is also our florist and decorator, our DJ is also our photographer and lighting vendor, so I really only have 4 vendors that I'm working with, and our venue has an event coordinator, who will make sure our vendors show up to the venue.

It's also helpful that we're having a pretty simple wedding (not too many moving parts or extravagant activities).

I'm worried about not being able to afford the honeymoon we prefer and people not having fun at the reception. We're having 50-60 guests and I don't think our crowd are dancers

Most stressful part, besides how to pay for it, has been having my parents have to cooperate with each other.

As of now, the look for myself and my wedding party. All of my girls have big boobs and they’re indifferent towards the dresses. What 1 likes the other 3 don’t lol. I really haven’t been sold in wedding dresses yet and I’m not too sure of how I want my hair to be. Another thought is the schedule for the day of. I’m still toying around with many things.

I agree with you, I only curl my hair every once in awhile but other than that I never do my hair or use heat because I’m trying to keep as healthy as possible for wedding. I’m having a hard time finding one because there are soooo many beautiful hair styles!

That’s exactly what I was going through! We decided to the first look so we would have time to take pictures during the day, the wedding doesn’t start until 3 and it’s in December so the sun sets early. I think a first look is so beautiful and it gives you and the hubby some time together to take everything in. Good luck though! Everything will work out, your wedding will be beautiful don’t stress too much!
