Morilee 8118 size

Addy, on June 14, 2019 at 1:45 AM Posted in Wedding Attire 0 4
Who wore this dress? I didn't get measure. I tried on a 6 and it was a bit loose so I ordered a 4. I am about 35.5, waist is about 26 and hip 34. I tried on my dress already but it felt super snug but it fit. My wedding is 2wks away but I am scared it will rip from the top during the wedding. What can be done? Or did anyone whose top measurement are a bit bigger than dress size measurement find the style helped and they were ok.

I'm not wearing that particular style, but I am wearing a Morilee gown.
Do you have time to take it to a seamstress to get it altered? Even though you're 2 weeks away, some seamstresses are great with their turnaround time.

    Hi there Addy!

Firstly, your dress is gorgeous! I checked it out on the WeddingWire dress section - 8118 Morilee by Madeiline Gardner.

I would recommend you find a seamstress in your area and visit them for advice. You can try on the dress for him/her and they can advise what can be done to help it fit better. It’s amazing the work they can do on a short timeline, however, I would book this in asap.

Do you know a seamstress in the local area? Do you need help finding one?

That's my dress too! When I ordered it, we had to order for the "biggest" part of me - my hips/butt (muscle problems lol) My bottom half was a 10, my top half...a 4. Ha! I think what you need to do is find a seamstress ASAP. Like...today. The dress is very well structured, and If the rest of it fits, I don't think you'll have a problem - like it won't rip open or anything - but I definitely would recommend at least checking with a seamstress who is familiar with bridal construction and ask what they recommend.

But I definitely would NOT worry about it ripping! Bridal gowns are very well constructed. They are meant to be snug, so I think no matter what you decide to do, you'll be fine! Smiley smile Congrats!

Did you base it off of what the sample size that you tried on was or your measurements? Because the sample gowns are very stretched out and aren’t a good indicator of size. I would get into a seamstress ASAP.
