What if I only wanted monetary gifts. Where on WeddingWire do I put it?

It's very rude to ask for money. If someone wants to give it to you, they will.

@Milo. Include a card with your invitations by simply stating "monetary gifts only." That is what I am doing. No, I do not want homegoods or anything. We have EVERYTHING we need. No need to send me back to the store to do returns. Do not worry about being a traditionalist. Know your audience. I would image sensible folks know weddings are pricey. If they do not like it, then they can rsvp by putting "no" and stay home.

Maybe have your MOH spread the word that you would rather have cash gifts or bank cash cards. I myself usually give those as presents. I give my recipients cash/gift cards, that way they could buy what they really wanted . Below is a sample of a ty note to a cash gift. Congratulations and best wishes in advance to you and your FH.

    Dear _and _

Thank you so much for attending our wedding! We had the best time, and were so happy you were there. We are so appreciative of your generous gift, and look forward to [adding it to our new car fund, using it to put a down payment on a house, adding it to our honeymoon fund, etc]. Thank you again for joining in the celebration of our marriage.
