monetary gifts

This is what I have seen on a few people wedding website that I have been too. My co-worker and 2 of my mom friends.

Just send deposit slips in your invitations. Pretty sure I stole the from PWG but whatever...It's essentially the same thing as a cutesy poem saying you only want cash

Can someone please come up with poems for honey funds, potlucks and dumb plus one rules. Maybe if presented in poem form people would better understand how tacky it is. Cause you poems make everything better

Create a small registry and you can even put gift cards on a registry. For ex: on our registry I also added Home Depot gifts cards.

Also, some websites have things like "$20 towards honeymoon fund." Or "$50 towards our home down payment." Some people think that's tacky, but I've seen it!

For showers, I normally get people a gift off their registry.. and for a wedding, I just put a check in the card. I think a lot of people end up getting money for their wedding anyway, but you need to give guests the option what to get you.

Eve, no. Don't use website registries that are asking for cash. It's just as bad as asking for cash or using a cunning little poem to ask for cash.

I would go out of my way to buy a gift, if someone requested money! Not just a gift... most likely a gift for the bathroom.

Everyone only wants monetary gifts.

Don't say anything, let people give you what they are going to.
