Mom has a question: morning wedding attire

My mother and I have been shopping around for her MOB dress. We always envisioned her in a long dress, because we like that look and also because she has some psoriasis issues with her legs that she wants to cover up. However, she told me she read somewhere that it's not appropriate to wear a long...

However, she told me she read somewhere that it's not appropriate to wear a long dress for a morning wedding. Our ceremony is at 11 am followed by a brunch reception.

Thoughts? Can she wear a long dress? (Photo attached of one of the dresses she likes.)

Definitely! I'm assuming your wedding dress is floor length? It would be odd if yours was tea-length or something but if you are wearing a floor length dress, I think she will look fine in one too.

Love that dress, I think a darker color or more sparkly dress might look too much, but something like that is beautiful. She is the MOB, after all!

A long dress would be fine as long as it is a light/neutral color. I'd steer clear of navy, black, gray, red, etc.

I say go for it! I never heard of that rule nor even if they is, you don't have to follow it
