Moissanite Rings

I love mine! I told my FH that I didn't a diamond because they're so expensive. I love my moissanite because it's way sparklier than a diamond and the small size is perfect for me! I plan on getting a similar wedding band that also has moissanite in it!

I feel bad lying but there’s a lot of judgey people on both sides of our family so I thought maybe we should just not tell anyone (besides my mom who already knows our ideas. And she’s not the type to tell anyone our secrets. Never has and she has always been super supportive of us and probably the most sweetest to us out of everyone in our families). I know FH’s step siblings would probably make some comments about it so that’s why I thought we would just keep it to ourselves. View Quoted Comment Ugh I wish I could be that way...but FH is an only child, his mom loves to refer to people with less money as “poor folk” or “ghetto” ...I’ve learned to love her for who she is 😅 and all his siblings are older than us and are “step siblings” and some of them are very very mean to us and his mom. And they just got married recently. We love FH’s step dad though! Just his kids can be kind of... 🙄🙄 mean rotten spoiled. Even though they’re all full grown adults! Lol. But one of his step siblings got married recently and no one asked her about her ring (that I know of) but I feel like she’s the type who would ask someone about their ring. I have no problem lying to her since she’s done dozens of mean things to me in the last 5 years I’ve known her! “Forgetting” what my name was for over a year, to my face! Excluding me and FH from everything, and being snappy, on several occasions, to my man. 😡 so ya don’t really care about lying to her!! 🤣

I absolutely love my ring. My FH used to sell jewelry and asked me what I thought about moissanite. I had never even heard of it, but it’s absolutely beautiful. (We picked it out together.) Screw anyone who doesn’t think that it’s good enough.

I told FH a while before he proposed that I would love a moissanite ring. But little did I know my dad gave him a loose diamond that belonged to my papaw (I was his only granddaughter and spoiled rotten by him) so that made my ring extra special.

However unfortunately both of our parents are divorced and the rings are pawned (although I wouldn’t want to use a ring from either of their messy divorces 😅 😂) and FH’s grandma passed and Idk where her ring is but I heard she was really mean to my FMIL growing up. My grandma is still alive and I wouldn’t want her to give me her ring since her husband passed recently. My mom doesn’t know her mom. And I don’t think my FH ever met his dad’s grandma plus he doesn’t talk to his dad anymore.

And I haven't told anyone, I'm not purposely avoiding it and I don't care if people know, but people just automatically assume it's a diamond so they don't say anything about it! Honestly don't worry about what others think. Other gems are becoming so much more popular. Moissanite, morganite, Sapphire, etc. I'm pretty happy with my $450 ring!

View Quoted Comment He bought it at Helzberg. (We picked it out together.). The casual acquaintances or coworkers who look at the ring and tell me it’s beautiful I just say thank you. It really isn’t any of their business what it is. I’ll happily tell friends what it is and suggest they look at moissanite as an alternative when they get engaged.

Love my moissanite! He bought it from moissaniteco. I’ve told a few people and they were surprised; no one has asked if it wasn’t “real” 🙄 if they suspected.

I mean it is a “real” moissanite! Lol. A beautiful, colorless, flawless 9.5 on a mohs scale gemstone. I watched like 500 YouTube videos on them before deciding to go with it.
