I just found out my MOH can't make it to my wedding rehearsal. Her husband's family planned a last minute family vacation. She'll be flying back at 11:30 PM the night before the wedding. I just found out my MOH can't make it to my wedding rehearsal. Her husband's family planned a last minute family vacation. She'll be flying back at 11:30 PM the night before the wedding. I'm trying really hard not to freak out but I'm freaking out. There's nothing I can do about it, but it still really makes me sad. Her husband's parents are both elderly so the family vacation is a way for them all to spend time together. My MOH mentioned I could bump her down to a BM but I don't want to do that. So my question is how important is the rehearsal? Will it be okay? Any advice or words of encouragement would be greatly appreciated.

Honestly, no one needs a rehearsal. It's walking and standing. Your venue person will line you up and send everyone down the aisle.

    TA DAH!

As far as signing, your witnesses are just that; witnesses. You could have two waiters sign it if they actually watched it.

And no, do not do it at the rehearsal dinner. What happens if, god forbid, something happens to one of your witnesses (who will now not be witnessing....) or even worse, your officiant? Who could be MIA WITH your license??

Nope, nope, nope. I know people do it, but I'm far too paranoid for that.

Thank you all for the advice and words of encouragement! I know it will be okay. I have a DOC; she and my other BMs can fill in the MOH. Fingers crossed her flight isn't delayed

She's gonna be tired as hell, but I'm sure she'll be just fine walking down since you have a DOC. Smiley smile

My FH didn't even make it to the rehearsal. HaHa! He got stuck in traffic and he had the kids so they didn't get to rehearse walking either. All turned out fine!!

To me the rehearsal is of little importance, just fill her in when you see her, no big deal!

I had a groom miss the rehearsal. I told Best Man what info to relay to him before the ceremony. No problem.
