Hi there,
My mom and I recently went dress shopping for her (MOB) and my two sisters (my twin who will be my maid of honor and my youngest sister who will be my bridesmaid). As we were sifting through dresses, I found this beautiful champagne dress for my mom to try on - she loved it and it has been her top pick for dresses so far. Now, I'm seeking some advice. After our shopping trip (she hasn't purchased it yet), I came home and was reading about wedding etiquette. Champagne is one of the suggested colors for MOB/MIL to avoid. Although I would not have a problem with it, I don't want to make her feel uncomfortable if someone says something (though I can't imagine anyone we invited would). May i get your thoughts on this? I've attached a picture for your reference. Thanks in advance!

I think the reason that they say this is a bad choice as it could be close to the color of the wedding dress. Personally if you ike it and are comfortable with it no one else opinion matters.

I think that it’s beautiful. At a wedding where the bride is wearing something other than champagne I wouldn’t think anything of it. My dress is champagne so if MOB or MOG wanted to wear champagne I would be a bit put off. If you don’t mind her wearing that color then go for it!
