Hi there! I was wondering if there are any brides who have either catered through Mission BBQ or if you had them cater another event. And what your experience was. Hi there! I was wondering if there are any brides who have either catered through Mission BBQ or if you had them cater another event. And what your experience was. I found a venue I love, but my fiance and I aren't crazy about the price nor were we wowed by the food.

Our date was set for March 2019 due to work scheduling, and now it's no longer and issue and we want to move it to May 2019 and have a more fun, laid back event.

Our venue we have is around $9000 for the venue, food, drinks for 100 people.

Any bride done a backyard BBQ and can let me know what your budget was like?

Thank you so much!

    Hello all!

My wedding is actually this Saturday, so I will update you once it's over! So far, so good! Our contact at Mission is absolutely FANTASTIC.

Our final invoice, with 115 people attending is a hair over $2500. We have pulled chicken, pulled pork, sliced brisket, mac'n'cheese, green beans and bacon, sweet mashed potatoes, sliders and corn bread, cheese and crackers, kettle chips, 12 lbs of sausage (their recommended size), 20 gallons of lemonade and sweet tea and a coffee bar.
Gratuity is not included in the price.

BAM BAM will try to make an appearance as well, but he's at the shop and they hope he'll be out in time so we can take some awesome pictures with the truck as well.

Let me know if there's anything else I can tell you before the wedding!

Late on responding for this question but wanted to contribute for whoever may ask this question in the future. We used Mission BBQ last weekend (Oct. 2019) for my daughters wedding and it was excellent. My daughter and her fiance did not want the standard rubber chicken you get with most large catered affairs. They wanted DELICIOUS FOOD that everybody would love. Who doesn't love BBQ?!? My daughter, however, did not want a country wedding. We used Mission and though the food was BBQ everything else they did was far from what you would think for BBQ. Though Mission would supply paper products we chose to rent the linen and china. Mission set up, served buffet, table served drinks, set up and passed appetizers, cut and served the cake, cleaned up, and prepared all the rentals for pick up at the end of the night. And, the food was an excellent price. I haven't finished totaling all our expenses but I'd guess maybe $25 pp including appetizers, main course, drinks, and coffee service. (This does not include the service staff or tax. We paid extra service hours in order to have them set up our whole venue rather than have friends and family come to help.) Our venue was an elegant setting and the whole event never gave the feel of cook-out/picnic food just because it was BBQ (as I side note we did not do ribs). It was top notch and it was all thanks to Mission. When greeting our guests at their tables they raved about the food and said the meat especially made their mouths water for more. So tender. Can't rave enough about Jill and her Jacksonville catering staff. They were outstanding and we could not have had the day turn out as wonderful had it not been for Jill. She was attentive and knew just what we needed from the minute we met her. She knows her stuff and is one classy, kind, sweet lady. She runs all of catering for Florida so no matter where you are in the state you can rest easy that her staff will take care of you. Do not hesitate to use Mission BBQ.

They also support first responders and the military. Since dealing with them for the wedding I see this is not just lip service but an active, "put their money where their mouth is" dedication. We found this very appealing. THANK YOU MISSION BBQ!
