Hi, I'm wondering if anyone has used Minted for wedding invitations. More specifically, did you get foil pressed paper on the pearlescent paper? I'm frustrated that the samples are all on their regular paper. Just wondering if the foil pressed part will come out looking okay on the shinier paper. Also, I have read a few bad things about their customer service...Thanks for any advice!

I'm using minted and have had good experiences with their customer service. I haven't seen foil pressed on pearlescent paper, only signature or recycled. But I don't see why it wouldn't come out on the pearlescent paper. Did you order their sample pack so you can at least see the paper beforehand (without the foil)?

I ordered specific samples from them in the designs I was interested in seeing and I got to select which paper each sample was printed on. I actually ordered three samples of the same design so I could see the differences between three different paper types.

@Samantha I thought so too but I checked the website and it does say that the foil samples can only be on signature paper. Maybe you weren't doing foil or maybe they recently changed? Either way, I'm sure the foil won't be messed up or anything on pearlescent paper. She should at least look at a non-foil sample on pearlescent to make sure she likes the paper in general though.

I wonder if you contact customer service if they would send you a sample with foil on it?

Yes!!! The invitations came out beautifully and were able to match the color to my RSVP cards. The customer service was great! The invites arrived earlier then expected and I LOVE them! They are on regular paper with a foil boarder.

I LOVE Minted. We got out STDs from there and I have designed the invitations. Just waiting to order them. I have not had any issues with them or customer service. I even had to make changes once they sent the proof and they were excellent to work with.

Thanks! I do have the sample kit. My concern is that the pearlescent paper is *very* thin. It's hard to imagine how they can press foil into it. I chatted with their customer service and they confirmed that they don't offer samples of foil on pearlescent paper, but they said they do offer it for purchase.

We used minted. Our invites are beautiful and we have had many compliments. We got the pearlescent paper. The envelopes are thick. I had no problems with the customer service from minted. They even gave us a 20% off coupon to use.

Wanted to add- I didn't think the pearlescent paper was thin. It was perfect. I was able to mail my invite, rsvp and accommodations card with one forever stamp. I wanted a quality invite that wouldn't break the bank. They get thrown away. Meh.
