So I've posted about my experience so far, but now I've sent my invites out and I have a few tips and tricks for these!

Overall, I'm super happy we went with these! Saved us on envelopes, Minted printed the addresses for us, and it could not have been easier to send them out. We picked a more understated design, just simple black writing on nice white paper. I loved the clean look of these and the fact that it folded into itself was awesome too. The bottom of the invite is the RSVP card and it just tears off and turns into a postcard for guests to easily return their answer. I also ordered custom stamps from Minted to throw in our little greenery theme without being overwhelming. One negative to the custom stamps, they are rather large and the stamp on the post card was a lot bigger than the allotted space on the card so I had to slightly fold the edge of the stamp over the side to make it fit and not cover FH name. I feel like a regular 0.35 stamp would have fit perfect but again the custom stamps were bigger than an average stamp so it was an awkward size for those but I made it work. I only had to fold a tiny edge of the stamp over but it will still scan and work.

The invites come with clear stickers to close the sides and then for one sticker to go on the back. I thought that was nice and they worked really well. Supposedly they weren't supposed to tear the paper when the invite was opened, and according to a few guests who received them their invites opened up without tears very easily!

To throw in our greenery theme again, I bought stickers with the same green design. I put the clear sticker on the back first, then the greenery sticker on top. I didn't want the sticker to tear the paper of the RSVP card so I thought this would work best to try to keep it as clean as possible.

I have heard from others that there can be mailing issues because the sides don't 100% close and there is a slight gap. I put the invites under heavy books and other objects for about an hour to flatten them as much as possible. After about an hour and a half we drove to a local USPS and dropped them off! People started to receive them yesterday and I've heard nothing but great things about them! A lot of people like the tear off RSVP and think the folded design is cool. Overall this design saved us money, saves paper from being thrown away because it doesn't require envelopes, and it is a little more modern than the average invite. I would pick this option again if I had to, and I think this is a great option for a budget bride or an eco-conscious bride!

Now for pics!

Pretty fonts used, and saved my hand from cramping! The lighting in my house at night made these look very ivory but they are actually white. You can sort of see the stickers on the sides as well.cfb_1078327.jpgBack of the invite, folded, with our return address and sticker!cfb_1078329.jpg

On the RSVP did you write in the name of the guests before sending, or did you leave it blank so the guest just wrote their own name?

What invitation option did you choose? I really like both your invitation and RSVP wording and assuming that some of it is custom because I haven't seen on the website. We used minted for our STDs and customized them a bit, I'd like to avoid that with the invitations if possible.

    Thanks!

Yes! In the review I explained how the custom RSVP .35 stamp had to be folded over slightly but a regular .35 stamp would work!

No I left it blank so guests could write in who was attending. I wrote in how many seats we reserved for them but otherwise wanted them to write the names of who was attending from the invited party.

We used the Charming Go Lightly design and the standard paper! I think I typed out the wording to fit what we needed it to say such as the "together with their parents" part etc. It was very simple to type in my own phrase that worked best for us without messing with the layout and design too much!

Did you use their option of adding extra customizations at all? I’m still deciding which all in one invitation I like but am finding that on most, I wish I could either totally delete some lines they have, or add more in. Wondering if that costs extra. For instance on your RSVP, I like how you omitted the dinner choices (we’re doing buffet so there’s nothing to preselect) and added a line for “we have reserved __ seats in your honor” but I’ve had trouble trying to do that on the ones I liked.

I just sent out the Minted all in one invitations today. I was under the impression that it would send with a 55 cent forever stamp. I was wrong, I had to add an extra stamp of 15 cents to each invitation per USPS. No biggie, but it does make my nice stamps look goofy now haha. I also added a postcard stamp to the RSVP. I loved the all in one option and how clean it looks. I used the standard cover paper that was $48 extra, probably could of stuck with the value. The invitations came with three clear stickers for each invitation. I paid the extra $25 to have a designer edit the invitations by adding a line for number of guest attending and adding more lines to add in names.
