Mini-moon ideas

Tiffany, on January 10, 2022 at 8:31 PM Posted in Honeymoon 1 7

Looking for mini-moon ideas for late May/early June. My fiancé and I are saving up to do a 1 year anniversary honeymoon trip but we want to do a little 5 day trip (including travel time). We live in New York and are willing to fly anywhere in the U.S. Our max budget is $2500, ideally something that is romantic & a little luxurious but within our budget. We would love somewhere thats warm during the day with hiking trails but also a good nightlife and great food. We're planning on renting a car if we fly so are open to day trips within an hour or two.

I would love some affordable recommendations. Open to resorts/hotel packages Smiley smile

AirBnBs can be SO FUN! You can pick certain styles of houses to stay in (i.e. a tree house, hobbit house, etc). If you don't have a specific location in mind, this could help you. Some of the homes on there are truly luxurious, and while it's not an all-inclusive resort, you can still have an amazing experience together!

Hi Tiffany! What about Colorado?? They've got great hiking, food, and fun nightlife!!

You could also go somewhere in Canada - they have tons of resorts in gorgeous spots!

Ohhh fun! If you were looking for a little road trip Newport RI is lovely, Delaware has some beautiful beaches, and Maryland has a state park (sorry I m blanking on the name but it starts with an A) where wild horses run free. It is quite a thing to see! Finger lakes area in NY is also lovely and super relaxing. Happy planning!!

My two recommendations are Maine and Savannah. Maine that time of year is beautiful and won’t be as crowded as it gets in late summer. I was there for my bridal shower (may 22) and birthday (June 12) last year and the weather was incredible! Portland is a great city and you can drive up the coast from there.

Savannah is beautiful and has really nice (and luxurious) B&Bs. My husband and I went thanksgiving weekend and stayed at the Gastonian—amazing! Savannah has incredible restaurants, museums, and tons of fun things to do.
