Mid Morning or Evening Wedding

Future Mrs.kimbro, on May 4, 2019 at 3:09 PM Posted in Wedding Ceremony 0 16

Hello Everyone,

Congratulations on your upcoming nuptials, while my fiance and I are having a evening wedding in Washington DC June 20,2020. I wanted to know would you prefer to have a mid morning wedding or evening wedding if so why or why not? I know for me this would be my second marriage, my previous wedding was held mid morning and I felt like I wasn't able to enjoy the same way I could if I had it in the evening, meaning me rushing to get hair and makeup done making sure I made it to the venue on time praying that my guest would arrive on time etc.. What's your take on it? Thanks

I prefer evening. I've been to one afternoon wedding, and while very nice, it seemed off to me to be drinking and dancing at like 2 in the afternoon.

My fiance and I are having a mid morning ceremony with afternoon reception. We both like the idea that none of our guests would be going home late. Plus, the price is good too for our venue given ours is still on Saturday but it didn't come with the hefty price tag that comes if it's an evening reception.

I choose evening wedding. Although I do get up pretty early, I like to stay in the bed and just lay around till about 10/11. And plus we have to get up early during the week, I don't want to do that on the weekends too

Sounds good Ralaine, I understand in regards to the heft price tag for the evening reception, I'm over my budget by a couple thousand dollars due to our evening wedding but hey it will be worth it. Thanks for your comment

I prefer evening as a bride and a guest. As a bride, I don't want to get up SUPER early & I want all day to get ready and take my time. As a guest, I prefer to drink/dance/party and that really only happens at night weddings.

I am all about an evening wedding. I love the idea of the savoring the entire day from sun up and sun down. I plan to relish in every moment and an evening wedding is the culmination of it all to me plus it feels more like a party and celebration not to mention being able to set a romantic vibe with candle light etc. JMO.

We picked evening so the getting ready process isn't rushed and we have room for error. My sister got married at noon and the whole morning was pure chaos and we were exhausted by the time the ceremony rolled around.
