Mics without a dj

Mckinzie, on September 14, 2020 at 2:49 PM Posted in Wedding Reception 0 4
Hey everyone! My FH and I decided to cut costs and do our own music instead of hiring a DJ. We have put together a Spotify playlist for Dinner and one for after dinner. Because his family is more conservative and a party isn't the type of reception either of us really imagine, we are planning to have music going for an hour or 2 after dinner during our "social hour". Our venue is outdoors with plenty of space for kids to run and play and people can socialize and celebrate. My question is, does anybody have any ideas on microphones or something we can use for speeches and our groomsman to announce events so that all 150 people are able to hear them? It would be great if I could find a mic or an app that we can use with the 6 Bluetooth speakers we have!

Definitely check Amazon, I know I've seen bluetooth microphones on there before!

You can rent or buy microphones, stands, and cables. Please!! make sure to practice with whole system several times before the big day. Sound systems are notorious for having problems. If you go to google, amazon, any big box music store, you can get lots of help and info.

I’m not sure what type of Bluetooth speakers you have, but make sure they are all able to sync together. We bought a few lantern speakers for our outdoor space but they aren’t able to sync with our phones simultaneously!

Yes, we bought all the same speakers and they sync perfectly. That was one thing I was afraid of happening
