Mexican wedding order of events

Liz, on April 24, 2019 at 3:03 PM Posted in Wedding Reception 2 8
So the other day my Suegra was asking me about the order of events..I have no clue! My wedding is the first big wedding in my family so I don't know in what order a reception goes.. Does brindis go before or after víbora de la mar? Y el baile del dólar??..also first dance happens at what point? I'm so lost lol

I'm not really sure as I don't have experience with this but if you are trying to follow a traditional, cultural order, I would ask family members. Even if you're the first in your family I'm sure they have been to weddings before and can help out. I would also try researching it and seeing what you find.

Thank you, I've asked my family and they have no idea, I'm the first in the family to have a big wedding. I've tried searching through search engines but I find a whole lot of Tex-Mex or Americans throwing "fiestas" when in reality I want it to be actual Mexican type of wedding, I figured I'd ask on here to hopefully get some opinions, this is my form of research since googling didn't work out.

My cousin had a traditional Mexican wedding and they had the toasts, first dance , dollar dance and then the vivora.

Okay, cool. Thank you! Do you know if the toast is before or after the meal?

No problem, They did everything after the meal. Including theirs and the bridal party entrance.

Don't worry I think at some point we are all lostSmiley laugh . Mine will be a traditional Mexican wedding too, and am as lost as you. I hope that the coordinator at the venue will help me figure this out, since it's a venue frequented by 99% Mexicans. Otherwise i'll be lurking the comments on this postSmiley tongue .

I’m having a traditional Mexican wedding. As far as I know from what my family members have told me, it goes like this.
    -first dance
    -toast (during the meal)
    -dollar dance
    -víbora
but I don’t think the order matters, it’s whatever you guys like!
