Messaging vendors through WW

Fionna, on April 21, 2017 at 11:18 AM Posted in Planning 0 11

I have been sending vendors messages through WW for weeks now, and I never receive any responses. I have messaged over 20 different vendors and nothing!! I even called my venue to see if they received my WW message and they said no. What is going on? Am i doing something wrong ?!

Google the company and message them through their own site. I found a lot of times the WW system didn't work, or vendors didn't check it often (or ever).

Many of us have opted out of messaging through WW for a number of reasons.

Call the vendors you're interested in. We are all getting nuts now, not everyone even looks at anything coming from WW.

Call. Seriously. Your date is in prime season and you don't want to wait around.

Hi Fionna! Can you reach out to our support team directly (support@weddingwire.com) with more information about the vendors you have messaged, and if you are on desktop or using our planning app? All of your outgoing messages you should be listed in your account under "My Messages", and I can't find a single sent message in your account!

I got about a 50% response rate through WW. Most took a week to two weeks to reply. I did like how easy it was to email multiple vendors in a short amount of time, but if you really love a particular vendor I would call.

I agree with Celia. Give your vendors a call, or find their e-mail on their website if you are uncomfortable with talking on the phone. The messaging system on WW has proven to be faulty to many of us in the past, for multiple reasons.

I had about an 80-90% success rate at receiving responses back from vendors through WW. I did receive a few responses well after the original inquiry, but they explained that it had to do with whether they renewed their membership with WW, or maybe like Celia said, if they chose to use the messaging system through WW.

I had a good response rate using wedding wire and the knot both ... I think it depends on area I'm in Philadelphia and since it's a heavily populated area I think they check more often .. just my opinion

I rarely got responses through WW but when I emailed vendors directly some of them responded within the hour...

Wow, Im shocked. I have gotten 100% responses for all vendors I have contacted. I would call the contact number or email. I prefer email due to the paper trial especially for price quotes. Once Im ready to do business we can phone call and arrange for a consultation. But many times straight forward email regarding what you want and your budget, save both you and the vendor time IMO.

That's surprising, all of mine have gone through... maybe you could e-mail or call them directly?
