Hola ladies, So we're in the final stages and I'm just wondering if we really need to order menu cards? We do have the full menu on the website already so do we honestly need them printed for the tables? Also did anyone skip ceremony programs? Are these needed as well? I just feel like they'll read...
Hola ladies,

So we're in the final stages and I'm just wondering if we really need to order menu cards? We do have the full menu on the website already so do we honestly need them printed for the tables?
Also did anyone skip ceremony programs? Are these needed as well? I just feel like they'll read them and then leave them on the seats right after lol. Thoughts?

Yes it would totally look pretty placed on the table for elegance. And that's too funny; we'll actually be using our old invitations as fans as we no longer have that date. I figured I'd place them on the bar for folks to use on the dance floor LOL! Thanks!

Oh wowwwww that's crazy. I'm sorry you had to deal with that part. It's crazy how people forget what they ordered lol, I know they might submit it 6-8 weeks prior but still lol. I have a feeling that some people will forget but hey this is what you selected and there will be no changes. Thanks for sharing!

It's crazy how much time and energy we put into these things and folks really don't care about the small touches as much as we do. I guess they're thinking like nice touch but why would I take a menu home LOL!

Def. can skip the ceremony programs! Every wedding I've been to that had them, I looked over it once then it was thrown in the trash.

I honestly would say skip the menu cards as well. Your guests should know what meal they chose lol. If you're doing place cards, you could get these cute stickers to put on them that show what meat they chose! I saw them on Etsy and they had a cow for beef, pig for pork, fish for seafood, and a chicken for chicken. I thought that was neat and cost efficient.

We are skipping both! Not only is it more environmentally friendly but cost effective too. I can't recall any wedding I've been to where I took home either of them. My favorite wedding keepsakes are photobooth pictures, which is why we're cutting costs elsewhere to get one at our reception! It's a fun thing to have at weddings and in my experience most people like taking home their pictures.

You can definitely skip the ceremony programs. Unless you have a particularly long ceremony with a lot of uncommon rituals, people pretty much know what to expect and a program is completely unnecessary.

I don't think menus are necessary either. In our case, we had our wedding at a farm and wanted to highlight the seasonal farm-to-table menu using local produce, so we did print menus but only one per table to keep costs reasonable and reduce waste (since all those menus were going to be tossed after the night was over). I don't think menus they are really necessary unless you are using unusual ingredients or serving family style, where people might opt to pick and choose from different items available. If you are doing plated meals, I don't think you need them at all.

My friend printed one copy of the dinner menu and framed it. She did a buffet, so they put the frame on the buffet table. If it is a seated meal, I feel like you could put it on the welcome table. Definitely skip the programs, no one ever keeps them or follows along.

I totally agree and guests will take those pictures. I've been to two weddings with a photo booth and I legit had the pictures still on my fridge for over a year lol! But, we're definitely skipping both. Thank you.

Right lol. I do like the idea of framing one as a keepsake but other than that...we will pass on them both! Thank you!
