FH is trying to decide whether to go to the local tux shop that seems like it'll be a little bit more costly than MW but which he would prefer, not being one for big chains. However we're having trouble getting an appointment at the local place and I think there are some major benefits to MW i.e. convenience-wise, so we're considering just going there. I have heard that they're not the best with the actual fittings.

Anyone whose had a positive or negative experience there I'd love to hear about it!

We wanted to go local, but have out of towners, so are doing Men’s Wearhouse. This will be FH’s 3rd rental from them in the last 2 years and it has been great every time. There’s not really a fee to try on, it’s a $20 deposit on the rental. Also customer service was great. They spent a lot of time with us picking out our looks as I was very indecisive. I like being able to manage everything online, and they color coordinate with David’s if your girls are getting dresses from there. Also with 5 rentals, the groom’s rental is free. So that was nice!

I actually got my dress from David's Bridal and I know that when you get your bridesmaids dresses there too that they have a color match system in place with Men's Wearhouse.

H went there for his suit 6 months before the wedding. The fitting went well, and he actually bought 2 suits. He also ordered a vest, and they were supposed to call him about a week before the wedding to let him know it was ready to pick up. We were at the rehearsal dinner Friday (wedding was Saturday) and it hit me that we never heard from them! So he called them Saturday morning. They said that they emailed him saying it was ready, but he never got anything from them. Luckily his dad was able to pick it up for him, and his sister dropped it back off on her way home after the wedding.

Yikes. Some horror stories. Are you in CA or NV? We used Friar Tux and they were great. They’re only in CA & NV.

My FH and his GM went to MW this past weekend, and my FH decided to do suits instead of tuxes. MW only had about 3-4 colors to pick from and FH wasn't to fond of the choices. I went with them so I could make sure they had the color my BMs are wearing and they didn't offer any solid colors. They had our wedding color but it was either striped or pasley print. The guys went to tuxedo junction, $50 off a suit/tux rental.

My FH has been in two weddings and they have all used mens warehouse, I think if you have 5 or 6 groomsmen the groom gets his for free. They have a lot to chose from also.
