Mens Warehouse Pricing

Becoming a Mrs, on January 28, 2016 at 11:25 AM Posted in Planning 0 24

So I am finally getting FH to get all the GM together to go look for tuxes/suits this weekend. I know with my BM's I asked their prices point for dresses they can afford. I'm really not sure how it works for men though. His Best Man asked how much it is going to cost. And of course then I got asked by FH to find out. Does anyone know generally how much A tux or suit costs at Men's warehouse?

ALSO! FH now wants me to decide what they should do. The wedding is going to be outside weather permitting in july. Is a full tux too much for the weather? Do you think a shirt with vests is too casual? He keeps saying i need to decide because he is terrible at planning. Just seeing someone else opinion lol I have so many different looks that I like that I need some extra input

These are some of the pictures I'm liking for inspiration

We were going to use them, but they wanted $200 for a grey tux. Black and navy blue are only $140 I believe, so if you want either of those colors, that's pretty average. We asked about suit pricing since the price of the grey tux was so high and it was around $200 as well.

With $40 off our gray suits are still $190. This includes the shirt, tie, button covers, pocket square, vest, and shoes. The shoe rental is optional for the guys, but in case they want or need it, we picked out shoes.

They were the most expensive $230 for a grey suit with the $40 off. Try to find a local place, their prices are much more reasonable. They do price match from other places, but I just thought that was more work.

The local place with similar tux/suit was $150

We used them but I don't remember how much the guys paid. The last wedding DH was in, his was a little over $200. I have a weird suspicion that they change for larger guys because DH and another bigger guys tuxes were a lot more than the smaller GMs in that wedding (I saw the totals on their rental bags because I was helping them get ready). When we did our rental consult, they assured me that wasn't true and everyone paid the same rate, but I still think it's weird.

We didn't use Mens Wearhouse but ours where $190 which included everything even shoes. They where a modern fit black Calvin Kline tux with no vest. We went to a local shop and found it was cheaper then Mens Wearhouse and much better to work with.

My FH chose grey suits by Tommy Hilfiger for his guys and the same suit in Navy for himself. We caught a sale so for the same price it would have cost them to rent ($229.... reg price $700) they could just buy the suits. That's what they chose to do. MW has ridiculous prices to me.

JumpinTheBroom, thank you! It was right around $40 more which is crazy to me. That's bs and really annoying that they lied to me about it.

I'm trying to talk FH away from Men's Warehouse.

We went in to talk to them about when we should go and costs, it's like $225 to rent a tux. That seems a little crazy for something they don't get to keep.

We got FH's separates at mens warehouse this week actually! We got a buy 1, get 1 deal on the jacket/vest and 60% off the pants. She also locked in those sale prices for his groomsmen, good for 60 days. So they can go to their local Mens Wearhouse and look up pur retail group. FH spent $225 on jacket, vest, and pants, the groomsmen are looking at $95 for vest and pants. Those prices don't include shirt or alteratons on the pants ($12).

Everyone in the wedding party wearing a tux is wearing a black one which were $114 and then the groom is wearing a grey tux and it's $200, the ring bearers tux is free though since we have more than 5 people in the party. The prices are for everything: shirt, jacket, vest, pants, shoes, socks, cuff links and pocket piece.

See if Friar Tux or Jim Formalwear have locations near you. We're checking both out, and both give the grooms rental free with a certain amount of other rentals. (Jim's it doesn't matter, one of their locations is my bridal salon and his rental was free with my dress)

We just did our rentals today at men's warehouse. We just went pants, shoes, shirt, vest and tie. Our dark gray set without the jacket is like 174 . We couldn't qualify for $40 off coupon we had because we don't have 5 tux rentals which was dumb but whatever.
