Krista933, on May 5, 2016 at 9:55 AM Posted in Planning 0 14

Both my FH aunt and my aunt passed away. We were both very close with our aunts and would like to do a memory table (also including grandparents), can anyone share what they're doing? Pictures would help!!!!

I assume you mean your aunt and your FH aunt passed away. I think a memory table is nice - find a little poem about how much you love them and wish they were there but know they are watching and supporting from above, frame it, maybe add a centerpiece to the table too .. I've also heard of having their pictures on the pews in the ceremony which idk if I could handle emotionally but I def wanna do a table for my grandparents

We didn't do a table, but a vase of flowers with names attached on the altar and in the program. It sounds very nice Smiley smile

ps: You may want to edit your post to read "fh's" so as to avoid confusion. Or maybe it's just me!

I'm going to have a picture of my grandparents on my bouquet so I feel like I have them with me when I walk down the aisle and to include them in our pictures.

I edited the post thanks =)! I love the idea of the picture on the bouquet. I am doing a brooch bouquet and have my grandmothers brooch on it. I also like the idea of the poem on the table with pictures.

We plan to do a floral offering to Mary, and may include something in the program (if we have one) about the altar flowers being dedicated to family members who are here in memory and spirit. The photo charms are also a really nice idea!

Edited because clearly I need more coffee.

This is what we did for our table. We also included a little blurb in the program.

I really like @Butterfly's memory table! I am thinking of a way to remember my dad and grandmother at my wedding, I'll most likely do a candle and a few pictures saying something along the lines of "this light shines for those who cannot be here with us today"... I'll need some help on that of course

We had one at my wedding for my grandparents, 2 uncles, and my best friend of 16 years.

My cousin died in January and I'm only doing a picture of her on my bouquet.

I really appreciate everyones ideas. I feel a lot better and think I'm going to do a similar table to the ones pictured.

FutureMrsTullock: I'm glad you got some inspiration! I think the tables are a beautiful and respectful way to honor their memories, especially if its more than one person. Smiley laugh

We are doing a "wish you were here" table. With all of our relatives pictures who have passed. Sadly, there will be quite a few pictures.

I ordered this flameless candle for our memory table so it can be lit all night and we don't have to worry about a fire: http://personalizedcandlestore.com/collections/wedding-memorial-candles/products/wedding-memorial-candles-3

If you want a real candle they do those also! And you can edit them to say whatever you'd like, put names on there, dates, etc. They were super easy to work with and I got my candle 3 days after I ordered it.
