I wanted to include a memorial table primarily for our grandparents that have passes. I made a tree and plan to put pictures of our loved ones. I’m looking for a quote to tie it all together but haven’t found anything just right yet. I wanted to try to find something to incorporate the tree. Here...
I wanted to include a memorial table primarily for our grandparents that have passes. I made a tree and plan to put pictures of our loved ones. I’m looking for a quote to tie it all together but haven’t found anything just right yet. I wanted to try to find something to incorporate the tree. Here are pics of the tree, the pic frames are just samples to see how to place them. Any suggestions? cfb_1406253.jpg

I am for my father. I was such a daddy's girl.

I am bringing him in a lot. The chair, walking down the aisle to the song he picked out for me, remembrance table will be a picture of him and the framed song lyrics on said aisle song he made for me, picture on my bouquet, and he is in the program

I am hoping they are all subtle enough to be a sweet nod to him but not make people sad all day

Just a thought but, I didn't like any of the quotes I could find. I tried but none worked for me. I finally just wrote them a letter in poem format. My table is for me would have been brother in laws. They were both taken before I met my FH but I felt moved to recognize them at the wedding. I wrote the poem out aged the paper and burned the edges then glued it on to a stained plaque that I plan on giving to the boys mother, my soon to be stepmother in law.

Maybe do something more personal than what you can find in a quote if none of them are working for you.

I think it’s more important how it makes you and your Groom feel. 😊

I think those are beautiful ways to include him and meaningful to you which is most important. I found myself paying so much attention to details and then realized no one else would prob even notice them or consider them the same as me lol.

That is such a heartfelt gesture... I love it! You’re right, I need to think of something that fits me instead of settling for something already done. Thanks!

I think a prayer is beautiful way to go. You’re right... I could just skip the quote. I think that sometimes less is more.

    I love your tree idea.

These are a couple of the ones i found:

    1. "There’s a very special garden

Where the trees of memory grow

    Nurtured by the kindness

And concern that good friends show.

    The roots are cherished memories

Of good times in the past

    The branches tender promises

    That souls endure and last"

    2. "A limb has fallen from the family tree

That says grieve not for me

Remember the best times, the laughter, the song

The good life I lived while I was strong."

Have you considered writing something yourself? I.E:

    1. While our family tree continues to blossom, we will always cherish the roots that are the foundations of our love.

    2. The fruits of our love would not be possible without the strong roots that held us up.

i'm doing twinkling stars for my tribute table - i took a few poems/proverbs for ideas then i tweaked them to make my own.

"A light went out on Earth for me
    the day we said goodbye,
And on that day a star was born,
    The brightest in the sky.

Perhaps they aren't just stars above,
    but rather something more.
Perhaps they are the openings of Heaven's mighty door.

And every single twinkle, is really just the way,
our loved ones say hello, and guide us through our day.

For each loved one that couldn't be here tonight,
A star is shining oh so bright."
